High School Internship Program

MTC provides approximately 30 High School summer internships.  These positions are located throughout the nine counties of the SF Bay Area:  Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Solano and Sonoma. College Internship Program

MTC provides approximately 10-12 College Internship opportunities each year. Each internship is for a maximum of 400 hours. These positions are at MTC's San Francisco office and are between the months of June thru September. The positions are open to undergraduates, graduate students and recent graduates in relevant fields. 

Landing an internship with MTC is one of the best ways to get your foot in the door in the field of transportation, planning, public policy or public finance. MTC interns work on projects that provide valuable hands-on experience and the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals. Interns will be offered unparalleled learning and networking opportunities. Students will have the opportunity to utilize the knowledge they have gained in the classroom and see how their studies translate into a professional setting.
